"Being an activist is a huge part of my life.

I believe we’re given talents to make a change in the lives of others

and I’m so blessed that I get to be a part of an organization that makes a difference through the arts."

- Shane Manier

How Do The Arts Help?

Guided outlets help process emotions and secure a brighter future while learning creative skill sets.

The arts empower, heals and educates.

  • LEARN CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

  • PREVENTION FOR DRUG AND VIOLENCE

  • ANGER MANAGEMENT

  • HEALING FROM TRAUMA

  • HOW TO PLAN AND SEE A CONCEPT THROUGH TO COMPLETION

Why Flash Mob Poetry?

Guerilla Poets originally started out as a flashmob group (poetry in unexpected places) of activist poets. Since then, we have grown to providing the arts in areas that have little to no access. When operating as a poetry flash mob, it is in the hopes that it will touch the lives of those who normally wouldn’t listen to poetry. Guerilla Poets currently have 2 branches. One in the US and one in the UK.
