This is Salisbury

 This is salisbury art exhibit

"This is Salisbury" is the latest art exhibition by Center for Faith and the Arts (CFA) visual artist in residence, Shane Manier.

The installation showcases artwork based on community members of Salisbury who are doing their part in making the city a better place for all.

Each portrait was done in watercolor and alcohol marker on 20x30 watercolor paper.

The entire series containing 22 portraits were completed in just under one month as part of the artist’s exploration in intuitive mark making to develop her craft and tap into intuition. Each portrait has a background that speaks to the subject’s personality and impact in the city of Salisbury.

The exhibit will be up at Center for Faith in the Arts from September 12th-October 30th 2021.

“These are the people I have witnessed make incredible change happen in Salisbury. Who do the physical and emotional labor of sweat and empathy. Often it is a thankless job and I just want to honor their hard work and strong hearts.” - Shane Manier
