TESTIMONIALS
To paraphrase another cultural visionary, Shane doesn't read poetry to you. She feels poetry at you. Her sense of rhythm and pacing is incredible, and she never sacrifices the power of her words to make it happen. Shane's performance takes over a room, challenges complacency, and, ultimately, invites listeners to become active participants in healing. - T. Shontelle MacQueen, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist
Powerful…deliberate. Shane’s talent reminds us of the saying “Own the stage!” Her tactful way to combine words of compassion and her love for humanity spews out of every measure of energy she unleashes on the stage. She’s a giant!! A wordsmith of unforeseen ability. She is unmatched and unstoppable... - Dahoo Smalls
On many occasions I have requested one or more of Shane's talents to be put on display from audiences across Charlotte, NC. Shane is a dynamic Spoken Word Poet and Artist. She has been both in one night for me. On top of her artistry live, and behind a brush, she is dedicated to giving back to those that many times get the short end of the stick due to no fault of their own. If you are on the fence about booking Shane for your endeavor, get off the fence, open the gate, and walk through to the magic she brings with her always! - Revivian Freeman
Words can not describe this beautiful artist. However, I will try. I was attracted to this artist's work primarily based on her delicate spirit. When you meet Shane, her personality will precede her and you immediately know her heart is pure. When she graces the microphone, she will cause you to react with a double-take. Her style is particularly provoking causing a physical response from her listener. Shane has performed at two events for my company, Legacy Entertainment Group. I will book this artist without question. - Legacy Ent.
Shane is the rare combination of passion and purpose, of grit and compassion, of head and heart, of certainty and vulnerability. She is a visible, powerful poet and an inspiration to people who want to believe in the good in all of us. She is the one who is courageous enough to lead us through the fear of ourselves, to break down barriers, and to give voice to the voiceless. Shane is the one we've been waiting to fight for. - Nemo Sum
Riot is a passion filled poet whose work speaks to the deepest depths of your soul. Her poetry is an example of how to go through the storm to get to the other side.- Inkera Oshun
Shane is an outstanding artist, passionate about uplifting the community, and she is just a wonderful person! - Moody Black from Moody Black Enterprise, LCC/TEDx and Teaching Artist of the Year
I have done work for Shane and she is the sweetest person alive and her poetry is so moving. Love that we are now connected. - Jack Funk JK Enterprizes
I'll never forget the first time I heard Shane at an open Mic in Kannapolis. It made me believe in the power of poetry again at a time when I really needed to believe in something again! - Andrew Oberhoulser
When I do get the chance to hear Shane speak I know I am in for a treat and most likely so tears as well. I love her content and how it is relevant in so many ways. She is also a talented artist that has inspired me to do more with my own works. I love her energy. She’s a whole vibe! - Tiffany Smoothers
Whether it’s speaking on women's rights, using comic book characters or speaking about pain in a way that it becomes alluring to the ears to listen, Shane Manier is a force to be reckoned with. Her spoken word is heartfelt, genuine, and needed in a time where many of us lose our voice. She is commanding when she has a microphone in her hand and a bundle of fire that's ready to set stages ablaze. If you are looking for passion and purpose, look no further than Shane Manier. - LeJuane Bowens Motivational Speaker + Spoken Word Artist
